Marc Jacobs — Spring/Summer 2027

How the show landed, and who drove its value.
The Edge by 9 Strokes · New York, June 2026

At a glance

  • Media winner across the board — covered by all four top U.S. titles (Vogue, NYT, ELLE, W) plus WWD within days, uniformly positive.
  • Top digital value: Yasmin Wijnaldum — $64,693 Creator Ad Value per post, and she opened the show.
  • One name carried the room — Yasmin drove 85% of the cast’s total digital value.
  • Best value pick: Issa Lish — 57K followers, 45% engagement, $2,294/post; out-earned an 82K model by 12×.
  • A developing cast — 1 global name, 1 macro, 9 micro, 18 rising faces.
  • Top agency: Ford Models — placed 7 of the 32 walkers, ahead of Women Management (6) and Monster (5).
  • Front row worth $68K/post — nearly the whole runway’s value; Shalom Harlow led guests, worth 15× a bigger-but-dormant Kate Moss account.

Marc Jacobs closed New York with a four-minute show at the New York Public Library — brief, bright, and built on a theme of gratitude. This report measures two things: how the show was received, and the real digital value of the cast that walked it.

Part I

The reception

Media velocity was high and unanimous. Within days the show drew reviews from all four major U.S. editorial titles — Vogue, The New York Times, ELLE, and W — plus trade coverage in WWD. Five top-tier citations for a four-minute show is elite pickup.

The tone was strongly positive and remarkably consistent. NYT ran “Marc Jacobs Looks on the Bright Side,” ELLE “Gratitude Looks Good on Marc Jacobs,” Vogue called it “a short, sharp shock… plenty of ideas about color,” and W said the show “spoke volumes.” The recurring themes — gratitude, optimism, bold color — gave every outlet the same narrative to carry.

Social signal: the reception spilled to TikTok (“a no-skip runway show… perfect”) and strong Instagram pickup, with the library venue and the show’s brevity as talking points.
Part II

The cast, by the numbers

Thirty models walked; 29 were measured (one private profile). The composition tells the casting story: a single global name anchoring a cast of rising talent.

1Mega (1M+)
1Macro (100K+)
9Micro (10–100K)
18Nano (<10K)

Yasmin Wijnaldum (1.6M) opened; the rest of the room skewed young and emerging. That’s a deliberate strategy — one bankable face for the headlines, a developing cast for the future.

Part III

Creator Ad Value — who drove the digital worth

CAV prices each model’s post at what a brand would pay to sponsor it — from real engagement, not follower count. Top of the cast:

8Aleyna Fitzgerald31K2.2%$344
9Diane Chiu10.8K5.9%$319
10Lavinia de Aquino9.5K4.4%$209
The concentration: total cast CAV was $76,436/post — and Yasmin alone accounted for 85% of it. This show’s digital value lived almost entirely in one booking. Median across the cast was just $160, reflecting how young the room was.
Part IV

The front row — who to invite

A separate lever from casting: the guest list. We priced the notable attendees the same way — what a brand would pay for a post from each. This is the PR team’s map of who actually drives value from a seat.

6Amber VallettaSupermodel801K0.8%$3,062
7Kate MossSupermodel1.68M0.2%$1,997
The PR read: the front row drove $68,000/post in combined value — nearly as much as the entire runway cast ($76K). And the ranking flips the fame order: Shalom Harlow (728K, highly engaged) was worth 15× Kate Moss, whose profile is the largest in the room but posts the lowest engagement (0.2%) and runs through a management-operated handle. Invite for engaged reach, not follower size alone. Chloé Malle proves the point from the editorial side — a Vogue editor at 255K out-valued three supermodels with millions of followers.
Part V

The agency scoreboard

Behind every booking is an agency. Tracking which agencies placed the most faces in this cast shows who’s winning the casting — useful for models choosing representation, and for agencies benchmarking their book. Consolidated across market divisions:

RankAgencyModels in cast
1Ford Models7
2Women Management6
3Monster Management5
4Elite / Society4
4Premium Models4
4Premier Model Management4
7Muse Management3
7The MiLK Collective3
7Next3
Read: Ford Models ran this casting, placing seven of the thirty-two walkers — nearly a quarter of the room. For a model, that signals where the bookings are flowing; for an agency, it’s a scoreboard of who’s winning the fashion-week floor.
Part VI · The insight

Engagement beats size — every time

The clearest finding in the data is a head-to-head. Issa Lish (57K followers, 45% engagement) scored $2,294. @mikarbae — the second-largest account in the cast at 82K followers — scored just $191, because her engagement rate (0.46%) sits well below her follower tier. The smaller, higher-engagement model was worth 12× more than the larger one.

That is the entire point of CAV: a follower count is a vanity number. What a brand actually buys is attention that’s real — and the data prices it accordingly. For a designer, the takeaway is direct: the undervalued, highly-engaged faces in this room are worth more per booking than their follower counts suggest.
