9 Strokes publishes a data report after each major fashion week. This page explains what those reports measure and where the information comes from. The scoring models behind the rankings are proprietary to 9 Strokes.

What each report covers

Each report compares the brands on that week's official schedule, as published by the organizing body (for example the CFDA calendar for New York Fashion Week). Reports do not cover every show or event in the city.

What we measure

• Media winner: which brand earned the most media attention during and after the week.
• Critical acclaim: which brands major fashion publications reviewed and cited most.
• Most-booked models: the models who walked the most shows on the schedule.
• Top agencies: the agencies whose models were booked most across those shows.
• Creator Ad Value (CAV): a 9 Strokes estimate of what one social post from a model or front-row guest is worth to a brand. CAV figures are estimates, not rates stated by the talent or their agencies.

Where the information comes from

Official fashion week calendars, public runway casts, public social media data and published press coverage. On-the-ground runway video is shot by 9 Strokes founder Joe Matos.
